Failure to start the brew/extraction cycle

I have an Auber PID with pre-infusion. It worked well for 3 years but now it will not start the brew cycle when I press the start button. It controls the temperature just fine. Is there a relay inside the controller that drives the brew cycle? Is it the little black box on the J1 output terminals 4 and 5? I have an extra Auber controller and if this is the likely failed component, I may try to swap it out.

The front timer key/button might be bad/worn out. Due to its compact design, it is very difficult to get access to that spot and replace the key. If you are handy and if you have professional soldering & desoldering tools, you can probably try.

The small internal relay is less likely to go bad.

You can also contact Auber support directly for the replacement controllers.
