Hi all, I haven't had a days problem with my DSPR320 since I bought it 3 years ago. All of a sudden my temperatures are way off by 11 degrees C. If a mash temperature is set to 65C the actual liquid temperature is 76C. I have checked this with two good quality thermometers, one electronic and one traditional and both give me the same reading. Any suggestions on where I start looking for the fault.

Many thanks,
Brian.

Do you mean, you set at 65C, the reading (PV) is 65C, but your thermometer shows 76C? If that is the case, you have a reading issue in your system. Typically, reading issues are either due to the controller hardware/settings, or due to the temp sensor/sensor cable.

To test the temp sensor/sensor cable, you can disconnect the sensor cable from the controller, then use a multimeter to measure its resistance. Your sensor cable typically comes with three wires. Two in the same color and one in a different color. The resistance between two different color pairs is about 100 Ohms, about 0 Ohms between two same color wires. For 76C, the resistance is 129.37 Ohms. For other temp, see the table below.

If your sensor & sensor cable are good, your controller is bad. You can try to use rubbing alcohol to clean the temp sensor terminals on the back of the controller and see if it helps. For more details, you may need to contact Auber tech support.
