I want to use my  WSD-1500H to control air flow to the fire box of my BBQ smoker to regulate the temp.  Would a shaded pole motor work?  What would be the best type?  I think a smallish one is good, in a squirrel cage set up.  2nd question--I have small one that looks like a miniature hair blower, 0.9 A, 10W but it is 12VDC.  If I connected a  small 110VAC power supply with 12VDC out, would it suffice, assuming the amperage rating was at least ! amp?  Thanks for any help at all!  Denny

The main (heater) output of 1500H is 110V AC (the same as the input voltage). If you can find an AC fan, you can use this controller to drive it directly. If you can find a low voltage DC fan, you can use this controller to drive a AC-DC power adapter, then use that adapter to drive your DC fan.

1500H is rated as 15A. It is more than enough to drive the power adapter and the DC fan.
