I have installed an EGT gauge but the unit never switches off. I thought it would after a certain time or a time could be programmed in. If I leave the car for a couple of days, is it likely to run the battery flat or is there a way to turn it off?

Thanks for posting your question here. If you can introduce the +12Vdc power from car radio, then it will be turned off when you turn your vehicle off. Or you can try getting the +12V from the fuse box. Only use a pin that doesn't supply power while the engine is off and key is out. Another option is to add a small toggle switch to the power input wire.
