PID Control Discussion / Re: Help new to PID

It is not recommended to test the SSR by a multimeter. It is recommended to test it with a real load, like table lamp. See link below:

If you have a digital thermometer, you can also try it anyway. You can remove all the wires to the SSR AC outputs, then measure its resistance. When SSR is OFF, you should get around M Ohms level. When SSR is ON, you should get K Ohms level. If you always get infinite resistance, your SSR is open/bad.

So I had it running last year after this post. The box we had it in ended up getting water in it. I ordered a new pid this year and pulled out the old one and slammed the new one in. I put in the parameters and now it's not switching on. So I thought maybe it's the ssr. So I got a new one put that in and I'm not sure what is going on. I have 240 v at the buss bar and then to the one side of the relay. The other side of the relay reads 55 volts. So the ssr is not switching. I thought the ssr was either off or on. Can that be possible to have some current pass through?

I got a response from Auber team. This bug was fixed in the new firmware update. Please use update the firmware in the Auberwifi app. Please go to the app's Device page, tap the Version tab, and tap OK to continue.

I just tried it when alarm is set over 100F and it didn't work neither. I will report it to Auber team then.

I Can only get them to work below 100f, never had one come through above 99f.

Have you run auto-tune at your target temp? If no, please try it at first.

If yes, you can probably increase P value by 40-50% and see if it works better (your P could be too strong and you need to weaken it). Or if you controller comes with OUTH (limit the max output percentage), you can reduce it as well.

Unfortunately, I cannot reproduce your issue on my end. The high alarm & push still work when ALM1 is below 100F.

Hello all,

I have a wifi wood stove thermometer AW TMB Deluxe, using PID controller AW-SYL-2352 and I can only get alarm notifications to my iPhone when the PV of the unit and alarms are set at  less than 100f.  At or Above 100f the alarms will show when on the app or on the box itself but will not be sent (or registered?) by the phone. I've been in touch with help and adjusted all my notification settings but nothing has changed.

Anyone else seen this or have any suggestions?

Thanks very much

I have a 60" x 24" x 24" oven for composite curing. It's heated by two 915 watt convection fans.

My controller is installed and preliminary soak tests show +/- 1C tracking which is great.

The issue is on the initial cold start, the system over heats by 15' C, which is too much.

I'd like to tone the PID coefficients to have less overshoot on start.

Can you suggest a set to try?
