I'm building a smoker from a commercial fridge.
It's 22"x20"x55" and I need to know how big of a heating element I need to heat it.

I will also need to know what control system i should use.

Based on our experience, you need 1600W ~ 2100W power for 22x20x55" smoker. The power rating of heating element also be affected by the insulation of your smoker. For details, you can check some forums online.

For power less than 1800W/110V, you can use WSD-1501GPH or WS-1510DPMS. For power over 1800W, you need to consider whether to use 220V or 110V. For 220V system, you can check WSD-SMD-A or KIT-SMD.
